Design Consultant/Sales

Job Summary
Custom Life Closets is looking for a client-centric Design Consultant in the Chicagoland area committed to delivering the best custom closet experience. This full-time, commission-based role involves guiding clients from concept to final design approval, driving sales through expert consultation, and creating beautiful, functional designs that ensure a seamless, high-end experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and virtual consultations to understand client needs and design preferences.
• Create detailed 3D designs and accurate floor plans using specialized design software.
• Develop and present proposals and pricing, effectively managing the sales cycle to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets.
• Finalize detailed design plans and material lists for a seamless transfer to the installation team.
• Collaborate with the installation team to ensure project quality and address any field adjustments.
• Maintain expert knowledge of all Custom Life Closets products, materials, and current design trends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales experience (preferrably in home improvement, interior design, or luxury goods.
• Proven success in meeting sales goals in a commission-based environment.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in measurements and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client homes.

Compensation

• This is a full-time, commission-based sales role with uncapped earning potential.
• 10% Commission (Average)
• 4 month pay Guarantee: $1,000 per week
