Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction management team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and other project management tools.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation on-site.
- Assist in construction estimating processes by preparing detailed cost assessments and resource allocations with HeavyBid and other estimating software.
- Coordinate project activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D for document control, progress tracking, and communication.
- Support project scheduling efforts by updating timelines, tracking milestones, and managing delays proactively.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders through clear documentation, contract review, and regular progress reports.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work quality, review blueprints for accuracy, and ensure compliance with schematics and specifications.
- Assist in contract administration by reviewing contractual documents and supporting change order processes.
- Manage time effectively across multiple projects by prioritizing tasks and maintaining organized records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in construction site management with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety standards.
- Proficiency with project management software including Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
- Demonstrated ability in construction estimating and contract review.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling techniques and construction management principles.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams including engineers (<PERSON>), contractors, clients, and vendors.
