Diploma Mechanical Engineer (Design & Drafting)

1. Job Purpose

To support Bhaviplast’s engineering and project teams by creating accurate 2D/3D drawings,

fabrication details, and BOMs for air pollution control equipment, ducting systems, tanks, scrubbers,

FRP/PP equipment, and structural components, ensuring smooth execution of manufacturing and installation projects.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Design & Drafting

- Prepare 2D engineering drawings (GA, fabrication, part drawings, duct layouts, piping & support).

- Create basic 3D models of equipment and assemblies.

- Convert design sketches into clear drawings.

- Apply GD&T, tolerances, and drafting standards.

B. Engineering Documentation

- Prepare BOMs and maintain revision logs.

- Release fabrication drawings and prepare as-built drawings.

C. Coordination

- Coordinate with fabrication team for clarifications.

- Support vendors and conduct site visits for measurements.

D. Quality & Standards

- Ensure drawing accuracy and adherence to Bhaviplast material standards.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

- AutoCAD proficiency (mandatory)

- Basic 3D CAD knowledge (SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo)

- Understanding of PP/FRP fabrication, sheet metal, ducting, tolerances, welding symbols

4. Education & Experience

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)

- 1–3 years of drafting experience preferred

- Freshers with strong CAD skills may be considered

- Experience in fabrication/FRP/PP equipment/ducting preferred

5. Software Knowledge

- AutoCAD (mandatory)

- SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo (preferred)

- MS Excel & Word

- ERP exposure (added advantage)

6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of drawings

- Timely release of drawings

- BOM accuracy

- Support to production/vendors

- Compliance with QMS and revision control

7. Work Environment

- Office-based with interaction at fabrication units

- Occasional site visits for measurements

- Coordination with project, production & procurement teams

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
