Design Engineer

Broad objective of the role

- To develop design concepts based on customer requirements and to innovate and proactively improvise on existing designs thereby elevating Elektra’s products to market benchmarks and help achieve its long term aspirational goal of Rs.100Cr organisation

Design concepts

- Conceptualise product design based on customer input

- Material finalization based on concept

- Finalise design plan based on concept approval

- Customer validation via trials/ design sign-off within deadline

- Design cost within budget

- Final plan document (Gantt chart) based on agreed parameters and timeline

2D/3D drawings and analysis

- Develop 3D drawing based on approved concept

- Convert 3D to 2D drawing using design software

- Design approval from internal and external stakeholders

- Drawing readiness as per agreed timeline

- Drawing parameters matching customer requirement as approved

- Design approval as per original project timeline

Innovate on product features

- Proactive improvisations on material/ cost/ features of existing products

- Improvement planning based on customer/ sales team input

- Chalk up an innovation plan to be ahead of market benchmark so as to give Elektra an edge over competition

- % cost saving

- % improvement in quality parameters surrounding reliability and durability of product

- Number of benchmarking analysis done with competition products

Vendor/ supplier management

Manage software vendors to get latest versions of design tools and software

- Negotiate with material suppliers to improve on part design/ design quality based on customer/ sales team input

- Cost and design quality within project budget

- Design improvement within project timeline

Design process flow standardization

- Adopt SOP based on Elektra product development process flow

- Manage gate reviews as per process flow

- Manage reports and documents to record each parameter in the SOP

- 100% documentation and record maintenance as per audit standards

- Prepare gate review reports within 2 days of review meeting

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
