Role Description For Design Engineer

This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer for Scaffolding, located in Dubai. The responsibilities include designing scaffolding systems, creating and reviewing technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring designs meet safety standards and customer requirements, and collaborating with other engineers or project teams. The role also involves inspecting and optimizing existing designs while staying up-to-date with industry standards and innovative practices in scaffolding and construction engineering.

Responsible for planning, designing, and developing temporary event structures such as stages, platforms, truss systems, and scaffolding arrangements. Ensures all designs are safe, structurally stable, and meet international standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design

Strong foundational knowledge in Engineering

Expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software

Ability to analyze and develop safe and efficient scaffolding structures

Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Previous experience in scaffolding design or construction engineering is advantageous

Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration

Role Description For Scaffolding Supervisor

The Scaffolding Supervisor is a critical leadership role responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant planning, erection, alteration, and dismantling of all scaffolding structures on a project site. This position ensures that all scaffolding operations meet legal requirements, industry standards (like OSHA, ANSI, or ADNOC standards in the UAE), and project specifications.

Qualifications

Experience: Several years of progressive experience in scaffolding within the construction or industrial sector, with a proven track record in supervisory roles.

Certification: Relevant certifications such as CISRS Scaffolding Supervisor/Manager Training (or equivalent) are often essential.

Knowledge: Strong, well-developed knowledge of current Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation, local regulatory requirements (UAE/GCC preferred), and scaffolding standards (e.g., BS-5973, OSHA).

Skills: Excellent leadership, time management, project management, and communication skills to effectively liaise with scaffolders, project management, and clients.

Role Description For Scaffolder

A Scaffolder is a skilled technical worker responsible for the safe and efficient erection, alteration, and dismantling of complex scaffolding structures. This role requires physical endurance, a strong commitment to safety, and strict adherence to technical drawings and established standards.

Construction: Erect and dismantle tubular and system scaffolding (such as CUPLOK) according to method statements, design specifications, and work instructions.

Reading Blueprints: Interpret and follow scaffolding plans and technical drawings to ensure structures are built correctly and safely.

Material Handling: Load, unload, and safely handle scaffolding materials and components (tubes, fittings, boards, standards, ledgers, etc.) at the worksite.

Foundations and Ties: Correctly install base plates, sole boards, anchors, and tie-in connections to ensure the stability and security of the structure.

Site Clearance: Ensure the work area is left clean and tidy after dismantling operations are complete.

Experience: Proven experience as a Scaffolder in construction or industrial environments.

Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to work at height, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.

Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of scaffolding types, load-bearing capacities, and the safe use of all associated equipment.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
