Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Slab Formwork & Access Scaffolding Design Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, drafting, and calculating formwork, scaffolding, and structural solutions for various construction projects. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and effective coordination with project managers, engineers, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Create detailed slab formwork and access scaffolding drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
• Structural Calculations: Perform engineering analyses and load calculations to ensure safety and stability.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and engineering regulations.
• Coordination: Work closely with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and design constraints.
• Pre-Construction Review: Assess design feasibility, constructability, and safety considerations before execution.
• Documentation: Prepare design specifications, calculations, and revision logs clearly and accurately.
• Problem-Solving: Provide engineering solutions to design-related issues during project execution.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry standards and best practices in formwork and scaffolding design.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in slab formwork and scaffolding design
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and load calculations
• Solid understanding of formwork and scaffolding engineering principles
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities
