Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for a die casting manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying die casting tools, components, and assemblies while coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop die casting components, dies, and tooling using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models as per customer and internal requirements
• Modify existing designs to improve performance, quality, and cost efficiency
• Coordinate with production, tooling, and quality teams for design feasibility
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and customer specifications
• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation
• Support trial runs and troubleshoot design-related issues
• Maintain proper design records and revision control

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in die casting design
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Good understanding of die casting processes, molds, and tooling
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in aluminum or zinc die casting
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing tolerances
• Familiarity with ISO / quality standards

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing and design office environment
• Regular coordination with shop floor and tooling teams
• Standard working hours
