Design Engineer

We’re Hiring: Design Engineer

Meta Green Middle East FZ LLC is looking for an experienced Design Engineer specialized in tankers, storage tanks, and oil & gas equipment to join our engineering team in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

This role requires strong hands-on design capability, fabrication awareness, and in-depth knowledge of international codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop 2D & 3D mechanical design drawings using AutoCAD & SolidWorks
• Design tankers, storage tanks, pressure vessels, skid-mounted & chassis-mounted systems
• Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, isometrics, BOQs, P&IDs & technical datasheets
• Perform design calculations, including shell thickness, nozzle reinforcement, load analysis, and stress analysis
• Select appropriate materials based on service conditions, codes, and fabrication requirements
• Collaborate closely with production, fabrication, and QA/QC teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability
• Review and revise designs based on project requirements, client comments, and site feedback
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API 650, UL, ADR, ATEX, and applicable safety regulations
• Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation for oil & gas products
• Support fabrication, FAT, installation, and commissioning activities
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product and process improvement
• Maintain proper design records, drawings, calculations, and technical dossiers

Codes, Standards & Tools

• Strong knowledge of API 650 (Storage Tanks), ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3
• Familiarity with ADR, ATEX, UL, and third-party inspection requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & SolidWorks (mandatory)
• Understanding of welding procedures, NDT methods, fabrication & inspection standards

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Design Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of design experience
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials & manufacturing constraints
• Experience in oilfield equipment and tanker design is highly preferred
• Excellent coordination, technical communication, and problem-solving skills
