Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

Design of test and research equipment focused on fluid mechanics.

Examples would include wind tunnels, water tunnels, hydraulic flumes, models, instrumentation and accessories.

Fluid mechanic calculations.

Mechanical design and supporting calculations.

Design for manufacturing.

Working closely with manufacturing during design and fabrication.

Create project material lists.

Schedule material acquisition.

Work with vendors on component specifications and supply.

Operational and performance testing.

Create operation and maintenance documentation.

Occasional travel to customer sites.

Work Experience:

Ideal candidate would posses strong mechanical design abilities coupled with a background in fluid mechanic principles and testing methodology.

Project management skills along with the ability to look forward and see what is required to complete a project.

Will train as required.

Skills:

Experience with Microsoft products, drafting, and solid modeling software.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
