Design Engineer – 3D Printing

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer – 3D Printing to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have strong CAD design skills, a solid understanding of 3D printing technologies, and the ability to convert client concepts into production-ready models.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Prepare STL files optimized for 3D printing (FDM / SLA)
• Ensure designs are manifold, watertight, and suitable for production
• Modify and repair client-provided STL files for print readiness
• Plan model segmentation for large-format printing
• Calculate material usage, print time, and production feasibility
• Coordinate with production team for smooth execution
• Develop technical drawings and fabrication details
• Work on architectural models, industrial prototypes, acrylic fabrication projects, and custom displays
• Ensure sufficient wall thickness and structural integrity in designs
• Maintain organized project documentation and version control

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in 3D modeling and product design (Freshers with strong skills may apply)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Preferred), Fusion 360, or similar CAD software
• Strong understanding of STL repair, wall thickness, tolerances, and scaling
• Knowledge of FDM and SLA printing processes
• Basic understanding of acrylic fabrication and CNC processes is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines
• Good communication skills in English
