Job Description:

Job Purpose:

To design, develop, and coordinate electrical building services systems (power, lighting, ELV/ICT, life safety, and related infrastructure) ensuring functionality, efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Engineering

o Develop detailed electrical designs for LV distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and ELV systems (fire alarm, CCTV, access control, data, PA/BGM, etc.).

o Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop studies.

o Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.

o Integrate renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV) where applicable.

2. Codes & Standards Compliance

o Ensure designs comply with local regulations (e.g., Indian Electricity Rules, NBC), international codes (IEC, BS, NFPA, KSA or any other Gulf Standards), and client specifications.

o Stay updated on energy efficiency codes (e.g., ECBC) and green building requirements (LEED, IGBC).

3. Coordination

o Work closely with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems into the overall building design.

o Coordinate with utility providers for power supply arrangements and approvals.

4. Project Commitment

o Manage project timelines for design deliverables.

o Assist in cost estimation and value engineering proposals.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical building services design principles and practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux).
• Familiarity with ELV/ICT system design.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in building services design (more for senior roles).
• Knowledge of local and international electrical standards.
• Professional membership (e.g., IEI, IEEE, CIBSE) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
