Design Engineer (Electrical)

The Design Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for design coordination and technical interface management for the high voltage substation project.
He shall act as the primary liaison between the company, the approved design consultant, and the end client, ensuring that all electrical design deliverables are accurate, compliant, approved, and delivered on time to support construction and project milestones.

1- Act as the primary technical coordination point between the company and the approved design consultant.2- Select and identify the equipment PTS.
3- Explanation and clarification of the drawings and design to clients.
4- Prepare, review, and clarify the drawings for the electrical subcontractor.
5- Manage and monitor electrical design progress to ensure the timely submission of deliverables.
6- Review electrical design documents at the tendering stage to support the tendering department and later at the project execution stage.
7- Ensure designs comply with utility standards such as SEC.
8- Coordinate design reviews, comments, and responses between all stakeholders.
9- Track design comments, approvals, and revisions until final approval.
10- Ensure design deliverables align with construction schedule and site requirements.
11- Assist during technical meetings with clients, consultants, and design partners.
12- Ensure proper document control and design version management.


Requirements

Special training, technology use, and language skills:
1- Fluent communication skills in English
2- Professional software, such as AutoCAD.

COMPETENCIES:
1 Strong knowledge of HV substation electrical design and system interfaces.
2 Ability to coordinate with external design consultants effectively.
3 Strong understanding of utility standards and approval processes.
4 Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management skills.
5 Ability to track and manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
6 Good understanding of construction sequencing and site constraints.
