Job Summary
The Design Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) is responsible for designing, reviewing, and developing electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on preparing engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting multidisciplinary project execution from design to commissioning stages.
Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare electrical and instrumentation design drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

Design power distribution systems, cable layouts, earthing, lighting, and control systems.

Develop instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, hook-ups, and I/O lists.

Review vendor drawings, specifications, and technical submittals for E&I systems.

Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).

Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and process teams for integrated design execution.

Support procurement by providing technical clarifications and BOQs.

Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and technical meetings with clients and stakeholders.

Provide engineering support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Maintain proper documentation control, revisions, and engineering reports.
Mandatory Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering (Diploma with relevant experience may be considered).

5–10 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation design for EPC, oil & gas, power, or industrial projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control philosophy.

Hands-on experience with design tools and engineering software.

Knowledge of international codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, ISA, NEC).
