Design Engineer (HVAC)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design & Development:

o Design HVAC products (e.g., air handling units, IDEC, ventilation systems) from concept

to completion, ensuring they meet both technical and regulatory requirements.

o Use computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to create

detailed designs, schematics, and 3D models of HVAC products.

o Conduct technical calculations, including load analysis, energy efficiency, airflow, and

heat transfer, to ensure designs meet system performance requirements.

2. Prototyping & Testing:

o Develop prototypes of new HVAC products and oversee their testing to validate

performance, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

o Analyze test data and feedback to refine designs and ensure the final product meets

customer expectations and regulatory guidelines.

o Collaborate with the testing team to perform real-world simulations and adjust designs

accordingly.

3. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

o Work closely with product managers, manufacturing engineers, and R&D teams to

translate customer needs into technical specifications and design solutions.

o Collaborate with the procurement and sourcing teams to ensure that selected materials

and components meet design specifications and cost targets.

o Assist the production team in resolving design-related issues during the manufacturing

process.

4. Product Optimization & Innovation:

o Continuously assess and enhance HVAC product designs for performance

improvements, energy efficiency, and sustainability.

o Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and standards, incorporating

innovations to enhance product functionality and reduce environmental impact.

o Evaluate the feasibility of integrating smart technologies and automation into HVAC

products.

5. Technical Documentation & Reporting:

o Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications,

product manuals, and assembly instructions.

o Document design iterations and revisions, keeping track of changes for future reference.

o Provide clear and concise reports on product performance, design improvements, and

testing results to senior management.

6. Compliance & Standards:

o Ensure that HVAC product designs comply with local, national, and international codes

and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO, UL).

o Conduct regular design reviews to confirm adherence to industry regulations, safety

standards, and sustainability practices.

o Address compliance and regulatory issues promptly to avoid delays in product

development or manufacturing.

7. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

o Provide technical support to the manufacturing and operations teams to resolve design

or production issues that arise during the lifecycle of HVAC products.

o Troubleshoot product design flaws, recommend solutions, and implement corrective

actions as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
