Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Design Engineer II to join our cutting-edge engineering team. Duties

  • Develop detailed mechanical and electrical schematics using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, and Drafting software to create precise component and system designs.
  • Perform mechanical analysis including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to validate design integrity under operational stresses.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on design issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, LabVIEW, Simulink, and MATLAB for system automation and control solutions.
  • Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure manufacturing precision and quality compliance according to ASME codes & standards.
  • Support manufacturing processes by creating schematics, drafting detailed drawings, and providing technical guidance for CNC machining and assembly procedures.
  • Engage in project scheduling activities to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality; monitor progress through all phases of design development.

Skills

  • Strong mechanical engineering foundation with comprehensive knowledge of mechanical design principles and systems integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and related drafting tools; experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) is essential.
  • Expertise in programming environments such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, and C/C++ for automation and control applications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis using systematic problem-solving methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling tools and techniques to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects.
