Design Engineer - LV Switchgear

Job Purpose
To develop accurate, compliant, and production-ready designs for LV switchgear systems in accordance with IEC standards and local authority regulations, ensuring timely approvals from consultants, contractors, and end clients.

Key Responsibilities

· Preparation of drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) for LV switchgear panels.

· Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and wiring diagrams.

· Perform heat dissipation, IP rating, and other necessary technical calculations.

· Ensure compliance with IEC standards, local utility regulations, and client specifications (including DEWA, FEWA, SEWA, and ADQCC requirements).

· Prepare accurate BOMs for procurement.

· Issue drawings with proper revision control and maintain systematic documentation.

· Provide technical support to Production and Quality Control teams.

· Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and respond to client technical clarifications.

· Control, document, and track all design changes.

· Collect, maintain, and organize approval records for all design and technical submittals from consultants and end clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• BE / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3 to 6 years of experience as an LV Design Engineer in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of LV switchgear design, IEC standards, and local authority regulations.
