About Thermopack

Thermopack is a leader in innovative thermoforming and packaging solutions, serving industries such as automotive, electronics, food, and healthcare. We specialize in precision-engineered plastic components that combine functionality, efficiency, and sustainability. We’re looking for a talented Design Engineer to join our growing R&D and engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop thermoformed packaging and plastic components based on client requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
  • Work closely with production, tooling, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Conduct material selection and design optimization to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
  • Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through to production handover.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide technical input during customer presentations and proposals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all design revisions and BOMs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in product design, preferably in thermoforming, plastics, or packaging industries.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools is must
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes — especially vacuum forming, pressure forming, and tool design.
  • Good knowledge of polymer materials and design for manufacturability principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Experience in automotive packaging design or industrial trays.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining or mold design.
  • Exposure to simulation or FEA software.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or DFMEA practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
