Design Engineer – STP / ETP / WTP

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Water Treatment Plants (WTP). The candidate will be responsible for process design, hydraulic calculations, preparation of engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documentation to support project execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess & Technical Design

• Design and develop STP, ETP, and WTP systems based on influent characteristics and treatment standards.
• Prepare process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform process calculations, mass balance, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Select appropriate treatment technologies (ASP, MBBR, SBR, MBR, UF, RO, etc.).

Engineering & Documentation

• Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, and isometric drawings.
• Develop BOQs, technical specifications, and equipment datasheets.
• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance with design requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with CPHEEO, CPCB, SPCB, and local statutory norms.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and vendors.
• Assist the sales/proposal team with techno-commercial offers and tender documents.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to project quality standards and timelines.
• Support HAZOP and safety reviews where applicable.
• Maintain proper documentation and design records.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech – Civil / Environmental / Chemical / Mechanical Engineering
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in EPC / turnkey water & wastewater projects.
• Exposure to industrial ETPs (textile, pharma, food, chemical, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience in handling projects from design to commissioning.
