What You Get to Do:

As a Project Specialist, you’ll be responsible for procurement of goods and services to ensure the park’s needs are met while adhering to the general guidelines of SEA Purchasing Standards.

  • Assist in the overall annual budget preparation and year-end projections for SeaWorld and Sesame Place General Services & Rides.

  • Create and maintain systems for financial tracking and cost analysis OPEX.

  • Provide monthly budget reconciliation including but not limited to accruals, journal entries, and cash flow management.

  • Enter purchase requisition requests.

  • Serve as the department liaison for purchase order modifications; track and reconcile vendor invoices and payments.

  • Coordinate park access for contractors.

  • Prepare and maintain confidential company information.

  • Provide administrative support for the department.

  • Seek to obtain and purchase all goods and services at the lowest possible total end-user cost considering the guidelines of quality, delivery, service, and price.

  • Work in a team environment and interact with operational units and vendors in a professional manner.

  • Represent the buying organization as an agent.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What It Takes to Succeed:

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • 1 year of experience in a structured purchasing environment.

  • 3 years of progressive experience in financial and coordination responsibilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Strong analytical and advanced mathematical skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Intermediate computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.

  • Able to effectively present information in medium-group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Able to effectively and accurately communicate requirements to team members.

  • Able to understand and interpret various forms of information (written and verbal) and make considered decisions.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Able to maintain a professional image at all times.

  • Able to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Able to work under general supervision.

  • Willingness and motivation to learn and use new techniques.

  • Knowledge of purchasing processes and buying techniques, including price/term negotiation skills.

  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to promote a team environment.

  • Ability to speak in public.

  • Willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.


Compensation:
21.00 USD per hour
