Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Dubai for a Design & Estimation Automation Engineer. In this position, you will design solutions for automation projects, develop accurate cost estimates, prepare technical documents, and collaborate with the project and design teams. The role also entails conducting feasibility studies, evaluating project requirements, and ensuring the proposed designs meet quality and efficiency standards.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and cost estimations for PLC/SCADA/BMS/Instrumentation projects
• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings
• Develop control system architecture (Siemens, Rockwell , Schneider, etc.)
• Prepare IO lists, panel layouts, network architecture, and material take-offs
• Generate BOQ for Material required and Manpower/Engineering Cost
• Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and technical compliance
• Support sales team with pre-sales technical discussions
• Conduct site visits when required for scope clarification

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering
• 3–7 years experience in automation design & estimation
• Strong knowledge in PLC, SCADA, field instrumentation, and control panels
• Experience in district cooling, utilities, water treatment, or industrial plants is a plus
• Familiarity with UAE tendering practices is preferred
• Strong analytical and commercial awareness
