We’re looking for a
Design Lead, Ecommerce
to own the end-to-end design and user experience across a portfolio of direct-to-consumer websites. This role sits within the UI/UX function and
reports to the Creative Director, UX/UI
. You’ll be responsible for creating cohesive, high-performing digital experiences across multiple Shopify storefronts — ensuring a unified look and feel while optimizing for conversion, usability, and brand consistency.
This is a hybrid individual contributor and people leadership role. You’ll manage a small team of 2–3 designers while r
emaining hands-on in Figma and Shopif
y. A strong point of view on ecommerce best practices, design systems, and scalable UX is critical.
A portfolio of ecommerce and Shopify work is required for this role.
What You’ll Do:

Lead design across a portfolio of
DTC ecommerce websites, primarily on Shopify

Create and maintain a
unified design system
that ensures consistency across multiple brands and storefronts

Design and optimize key
ecommerce experiences i
ncluding homepage, PDP, PLP, cart, and checkout flows

Establish scalable UX/UI patterns that
improve usability, engagement, and conversion across all sites

Partner closely with marketing, merchandising, and development teams to align design with business goals

Work hands-on in
Figma
to create component-based systems, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs

Collaborate with
developers to implement and QA designs
within Shopify environments

Leverage data, user behavior insights, and testing to continuously refine site performance

Introduce and integrate AI-driven design tools and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability

Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 designers

Your Experience :
-
5+ years of UX/UI or digital design experience, with a strong focus on ecommerce and DTC brands
-
Proven experience designing for Shopify storefronts (required)

Strong portfolio showcasing ecommerce work across multiple websites or brands (required)

Expertise in Figma, including component systems and scalable design frameworks

Deep understanding of ecommerce UX best practices and customer journeys

Experience building and maintaining design systems across multiple properties

Strong collaboration skills working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams

Experience leading or mentoring designers
