Design Manager – Industrial Cranes, Hoists & SPM Automation Lifting Systems

Location: Pune / PCMC – Local candidates or on-site relocation compulsory
Experience: Minimum 15 years in Design
Education: B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the design team.
• Specialize in Cranes, Hoists, and Belt-Driven Lifting Systems, including: EOT (Single/Double Girder), Gantry, Semi-Gantry, Jib, Underslung, Wall/Pillar-Mounted, Goliath, and Customized/Special-Purpose Cranes.
• Design automation systems, EOAT, robot grippers, vacuum handling, and conveyors (belt, roller, chain, slat, modular).
• Create and review 2D/3D designs, technical drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD & SolidWorks.
• Perform load, structural, and hydraulic calculations for optimized and safe designs.
• Finalize material specifications, tenders, and project documentation.
• Implement improvements based on client feedback and manufacturing learnings.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure quality deliverables.

Skills & Expertise

• Strong background in mechanical design, cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, and robotic EOAT automation.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, load calculations, and structural design standards.
• Hands-on experience with conveyors (belt, roller, chain, slat, modular) and material-handling automation.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Experience in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or automation manufacturing is a plus.
