About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager – Utilities Systems to lead the planning and design of major utilities infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design of utility networks—such as water, wastewater, stormwater, power, and communications—and proven leadership experience within PPP (Public-Private Partnership) project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design of utilities systems across major infrastructure projects.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate the integration of utility networks with broader project requirements.
• Review and approve engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and PPP project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, design oversight, and strategic input across all project stages.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders to ensure effective delivery.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of utilities systems (water, wastewater, electrical, communications, or similar).
• Experience as a design team lead (or equivalent) on at least two similar PPP projects.
• Engineering degree from a recognized university.
• Chartered or professional engineering status with a minimum of 10 years of post-professional-qualification experience.
