Design Mechanical Engineer

We require a “Mechanical Design Engineer” (Candidate who can join immediately will be preferred) with below mentioned requirements:

Requirements (All are mandatory)

1. Essential Qualifications:

- 10-15 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in U.A.E.

- communication

2. Design Qualifications:

· Having mainly on Lead Design capacity.

· Preparation of complete design for All Mechanical services including HVAC, Plumbing, Water Supply, LPG, Fire Fighting.

. Preparation of space requirement and providing electrical power requirements for Mechanical equipment.

. Submissions to relevant authorities such as DEWA, DDA, SEWA, EMPOWER, DCD, EMICOOL, etc.

. Capability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

. Team player and ability to work individually.

. Excellent computer knowledge (MS-office, Auto CAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, etc)

. Exposure to Client with good communication skills.

3. Supervision Qualification:

·Reviewing of Shop Drawing, aware of DEWA (must) & SEWA (preferable).

·EMPOWER

· DDA

·Dubai Civil Defense (DCD)

· Sharjah Civil Defense (SCD)

Key Responsibilities (Not Limited):

· Managed the Mechanical design of projects from the concept to the construction stage.

· Tracked the project work plan and distributed work among the design and supervision teams.

· Managed hours and budget to ensure the project is delivered on schedule at the highest quality.

· Ensured all mechanical design are in line with the local authorities (DM, DCD, DDA)

· Ensured that appropriate alternative concepts are proposed at the concept and schematic design stages and that these have been tested and value-engineered, and those they comply with project and Code requirements

· Reviewed design and Construction drawings and calculations for HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting and all other mechanical systems to ensure all project requirements were satisfied.

· Performing engineering evaluations, value engineering, feasibility studies, concept design, final design, cost estimates and preliminary engineering calculations.

· Attended meetings with clients to discuss their requests and presented potential solutions.

· Anticipated and solved technical problems in the project Design and Construction stage and, provided cost-effective solutions.

· Prepared tender documents, specifications and BOQ’s review

· Conducted meeting with contractors regarding site RFI’s

· Having capacity to Supervise construction works including material submittals review.

Particular Key Responsibilities:

· Strong Design and selection of complete HVAC systems, District Cooling, chillers, pumps, FAHU, AHU, FCU, exhaust, ventilation and, energy recovery systems.

· Design and shop drawing review of fire protection systems and smoke management in line with NFPA and UAE Civil Defense.

· Design and shop drawing review of sanitary waste, water distribution, gas piping and process piping system for various building types. Including knowledge in equipment selection, hydraulic calculations, piping design, etc.

· Prepared control systems layout, the sequence of operation and equipment schedules.

· Calculated and coordinated the power requirement with the electrical team.

· Guided mechanical design team throughout the design phase.

· Trained and assisted with the technical development of juniors and design engineers

· Well-rounded knowledge of building standards and codes such as: ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, UPC, Plumbing Code, UAE Civil Defense.
