Design & Production Assistant

POSITION OVERVIEW

• STRITE design + remodel is seeking a full-time Design & Production Assistant to join our collaborative design team. This role is primarily office-based and is not a remote position, as daily in-person collaboration with our designers and production team is essential to the success of our projects. The selected candidate will work closely with fellow designers to develop thoughtful, well-documented remodel and home expansion projects..

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Visit client homes to take field measurements, photographs, and gather project-specific information.
• Draft field measurements and project data in AutoCAD to produce design and construction documents.
• Collaborate with fellow designers to develop site plans, floor plans, interior and exterior elevations, construction details, and other related drawings.
• Create 3D models and renderings to effectively communicate design intent.
• Assist clients with interior finish selections, including tile, countertops, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, paint colors, and other project materials.
• Organize and accompany clients to local supplier showrooms for material and finish selections.
• Assist with obtaining building permits, HOA approvals, Historical Commission approvals, and other required documentation.
• Make site visits to active remodel/addition projects.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, tradespartners, field crews, and team members via Outlook email and phone.
• Utilize STRITE’s project management software (JobTread) for internal and field communication. Training will be provided.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field OR at least 5 years’ experience in one or all of the fields listed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Proficient computer skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2025 or comparable version).
• A general understanding of residential construction and terminologies.
• A valid driver's license (driving in the Boise area will be required for this position).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and a strong desire for continued growth and learning.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient computer skill in SketchUp.
• Proficient computer skill in Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress.
• Familiarity with WordPress.
