Position Summary
Always Home Custom Designs is hiring a full time Design Sales and Business Development Manager to help grow our residential, commercial, trade partner, and designer support client base.
This is a relationship driven sales role. It is not about pressure, scripts, or pushing people into projects that do not fit. It is about building trust, asking good questions, following up consistently, and helping the right clients and partners take the next step with Always Home.
This person will work closely with the CEO and Principal Designer to generate qualified opportunities, strengthen referral relationships, schedule discovery calls, and help grow the company through local, regional, and national relationships.
Key Responsibilities
This Is Not a Cold Call Only Position
This role includes outreach and prospecting, but it is not a cold call only position. The focus is on building referral relationships, creating warm opportunities, and helping qualified clients and partners take the next step.
Sales Support Provided
This role will be supported by existing brand assets, project examples, and direct access to leadership, including:
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys people, understands the value of a well designed space, and knows how to build relationships without being overly aggressive.
The ideal candidate may come from interior design sales, business development, real estate, construction, remodeling, cabinetry, furniture, flooring, home services, commercial interiors, luxury retail, client relations, builder sales, contractor sales, architectural product sales, or design support services.
You do not have to be an interior designer to succeed in this role. You do need to appreciate good design, understand client service, communicate professionally, and represent an elevated brand with confidence.

Compensation
This is a full time salaried role with commission opportunity.
Base Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 based on experience
Expected Total Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 based on performance
High Performer Potential: $90,000 plus
Commission is paid on collected design fees from new clients or partners originated by the employee. This may include residential design clients, commercial design clients, trade partner opportunities, and designer to designer support relationships.
Approved business mileage will be reimbursed according to company policy. A company phone or phone stipend may also be provided.
Final commission details will be reviewed during the interview and offer process.
How Success Will Be Measured
Success will be reviewed regularly with the CEO and Principal Designer and measured by:
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
