Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Design Team Lead – Aluminum & Façade to lead and manage a team of façade designers for high-profile projects in Qatar.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in aluminum façade systems along with proven leadership skills to drive design excellence, ensure compliance with project requirements, and deliver high-quality outputs within strict timelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of façade designers and draftsmen
• Allocate tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure timely delivery of design outputs
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex design challenges

2. Design & Technical Management

• Oversee preparation of shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and design calculations
• Review and approve drawings, material submittals, and method statements
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and local regulations

3. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, architects, and clients
• Align design schedules with overall project timelines
• Identify and resolve design clashes and technical coordination issues

4. System Design Expertise

• Lead the design and development of:
• Curtain wall systems (unitized & stick)
• Doors, windows, skylights, louvers, and cladding systems
• Ensure façade performance in terms of:
• Structural integrity
• Weather resistance
• Thermal efficiency

5. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards across all design deliverables
• Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
• Maintain documentation and compliance records

Requirements & QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture

Experience

• 8–15 years of experience in aluminum and façade design
• Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or team management role
• GCC experience (Qatar or UAE preferred)

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of façade systems, aluminum profiles, and structural behavior
• Ability to review and validate design calculations
• Familiarity with international façade standards and performance criteria

Software Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with façade design software:
• LogiKal / Orgadata
• SchüCal
• Knowledge of Revit (BIM) and Tekla is an advantage

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month
