Design & Technical Manager – Fit-Out & Contracting

We are a Dubai-based Interior Fit-Out and Building Contracting company seeking an experienced Technical / Design Headto oversee all technical, design, authority, and compliance aspects of multiple projects.

The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of Dubai authority regulations, and hands-on technical expertise to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with approved drawings, standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technical aspects of interior fit-out and contracting projects
• Coordinate design, engineering, authority approvals, and execution activities to ensure smooth project delivery
• Monitor project progress from design stage through completion, ensuring technical compliance at all stages
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Authorities including DM, DCD, DEWA, DDA, Trakhees, Nakheel, DSO, DHAM/DHA, and other relevant entities
• Manage and oversee all permits, approvals, inspections, and NOCs required for project execution and completion
• Act as the main technical liaison with authorities, consultants, and external stakeholders
• Prepare, review, submit, and track all authority-related documentation, including addressing authority comments until final approvals are obtained
• Attend authority, client, and consultant meetings as required
• Review, approve, and control architectural, interior fit-out, and technical drawings
• Prepare drawings personally when required and ensure authority requirements, codes, and constructability are integrated into design development
• Provide technical guidance and direction to design and engineering teams
• Support technical and quality control activities during execution
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and authorities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on time

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/ Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3–5years UAE experience in Interior Fit-Out and Building Contracting
• Proven experience handling Dubai authority approvals
• Strong knowledge of drawings, detailing, and technical coordination
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: Starting from AED 4,500 per month, based on experience
• Benefits as per UAE Labour Law
