The Role:

We are seeking a talented and highly-motivated Design Production Specialist / Outdoor Living Designer to join our team. This is a specialized, technical role perfect for a skilled designer who excels at bringing conceptual ideas to life through precise and detailed technical drawings.

As the backbone of our design department, you will work closely with our sales and construction teams to produce the high-quality plans and visualizations that are essential for our projects. Key Responsibilities:

Project Information Intake: Review and analyze project briefs, surveys, site data, and client vision and wishes provided by our sales team.
Conceptual Design & Visualization: Create and refine master plans, followed by the production of high-quality, photo-realistic 3D renderings and virtual walkthroughs.

Detailed Construction Drawings: Develop a comprehensive set of buildable plans for all project components, including:
Hardscape plans (patios, walkways, retaining walls)
Masonry plans (outdoor kitchens, column wraps, benches)
Structural plans (decks, pergolas, covered patios)
Pool plans (excavation, plumbing, electrical)
Utility plans (gas, electrical, plumbing for outdoor features)
Landscape plans (plant placement, types, colors)
Fencing and Lighting plans

Collaboration & Communication: Serve as a technical resource for our project managers and construction crews, providing clear communication and making necessary revisions to ensure plans are built to spec.

External Coordination: Work with structural engineers and material suppliers to ensure designs are feasible and all components are properly specified.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in outdoor living design, landscape architecture, or residential construction design.

Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in AutoCAD or similar CAD software. Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray) is required. Proficiency in Structure Studios is a plus.

Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods for hardscape, carpentry, and outdoor structures. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous and highly organized with an unwavering commitment to accuracy in all technical drawings.

Education: A degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $80,000 per year, based on experience and portfolio.
