Designer

We have an immediate opening for a Designer on our Digital team. Designers work with Design Directors and cross-disciplinary project teams to conceive, execute, and implement design for digital media at the highest level of creativity and quality. This is a full-time, in-person position in our New York studio, with a salary range of $70,000–$80,000.

Responsibilities Include:

• Strategize, conceive, create, and present strategic and design ideas for projects across the studio, with emphasis on work in digital media.
• Conceive and develop strategy for digital projects, and produce related deliverables including personas, user journeys, content strategy, and information architecture.
• Conceive of and implement visual design for digital experiences, ranging from mobile web to building-scale installations, with a strong emphasis on typography, motion, and responsive design.
• Manage execution and production of projects from start to finish, including the creation of well-organized, production-ready design files and developer-facing technical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and participate in client-facing presentations and other communications.
• With oversight from senior staff and project management, and support from junior designers and interns, act as creative lead of small projects or phases of larger projects
• Mentor and support interns and junior designers.

Minimum Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field, with a specific emphasis on design and digital media.
• Preference will be given to candidates with MFA or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum Work Experience Requirement:

• 2-5+ years of relevant work experience and industry exposure.
• Experience must include professional contributions to digital media projects, such as websites, apps, or digital installations.

Preference will be given to candidates with additional specialized skills:

• Familiarity with producing developer handoff materials and technical documentation.
• Proven proficiency in motion design or creative coding as applied to interactive digital projects.
