Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Designer role based in Scottsdale, AZ. The Designer will contribute to the creation of custom wine cellar designs by managing all phases of the design process, including client consultations, drafting detailed layouts, and collaborating with designers, architects and project managers. Responsibilities include producing technical drawings, incorporating design principles and materials specifications, ensuring compliance with project guidelines, and providing creative direction as needed. The ideal candidate will act as a key contributor to delivering visually stunning and functional wine cellar solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Responsible individual with knowledge of the basic design process
• Conduct client meetings to gather project scope, ideas, budget, and timeline
• Use client requirements to develop conceptual design and budget
• Conduct product research and maintain vendor communication
• Ability to field measure and verify existing or new building conditions
• Understanding of interior construction, architectural elements, lighting, electrical, HVAC, and basic building/construction knowledge.
• Able to read & scale construction documents and specifications
• Must have current experience with Sketch-up program: strong design and detailing skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in varying stages as part of a project team, and also individually.
• Must possess very strong organizational and time management skills and a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

• Strong communication skills that include the ability to manage expectations and encourage idea generation with the client
• Set up and maintain project files per company standards

Position Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree from Accredited Program Interior Design and/or Architecture Program or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in Interior Design. Hospitality experience is a plus.
• Computer knowledge - Microsoft outlook essential. Clear graphic, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Sketchup a MUST!
• Strong eye for design and passion for visual storytelling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in varying stages as part of a project team, and also individually.
