Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible individual with knowledge of the basic design process
- Conduct client meetings to gather project scope, ideas, budget, and timeline
- Use client requirements to develop conceptual design and budget
- Conduct product research and maintain vendor communication
- Ability to field measure and verify existing or new building conditions
- Understanding of interior construction, architectural elements, lighting, electrical, HVAC, and basic building/construction knowledge.
- Able to read & scale construction documents and specifications
- Must have current experience with Sketch-up program: strong design and detailing skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in varying stages as part of a project team, and also individually.
- Must possess very strong organizational and time management skills and a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Thoroughness and accuracy of work
- Strong communication skills that include the ability to manage expectations and encourage idea generation with the client
- Set up and maintain project files per company standards
Position Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree from Accredited Program Interior Design and/or Architecture Program or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of experience in Interior Design. Hospitality experience is a plus.
- Computer knowledge - Microsoft outlook essential. Clear graphic, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Sketchup a MUST!
- Strong eye for design and passion for visual storytelling
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in varying stages as part of a project team, and also individually.
