Overview
Deschutes River Cabinet & Closet is seeking a Design and Inside Sales professional to join our team in Bend, OR. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers from initial inquiry through signed contract, guiding them through discovery, design discussions, and the sales process.

This position plays a key role in delivering a strong client experience by managing communication, capturing design intent, and coordinating closely with our Cabinet Vision engineer to develop accurate drawings and bid packages.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, small-team environment and brings strong technical ability, communication skills, and attention to detail. This is an on-site, in-person team role.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary customer contact from initial lead follow-up through signed contract.
  • Follow up on incoming leads and guide clients through the sales and design process.
  • Conduct on-site visits to understand client vision and take accurate job site measurements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cabinet Vision engineer to support development of shop drawings and bid packages.
  • Manage design revisions and redlines, ensuring updates are accurately documented and clearly communicated.
  • Identify and resolve functional design issues early, prior to final client approval.
  • Accurately interpret architectural plans, appliance specifications, and project requirements.
  • Manage workload efficiently to meet project schedules and honor timelines provided to clients.
  • Some production of initial or interim drawings as needed based on workload.
  • Follow the established sales process and maintain strong follow-through.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with customers to support repeat business and referrals.

What You Bring

  • Experience in the cabinet industry or a strong understanding of cabinet materials, construction, and quality standards.
  • Proven ability to build trust with customers and guide them through a consultative sales process.
  • Strong customer communication skills, with the ability to listen, clarify needs, and manage expectations.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, appliance cut sheets, and hardware specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy from the start of each project.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF tools.
  • Experience with Cabinet Vision or similar design software is a plus, but not required.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Base Salary plus commission - DOE

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday
  • On-site, in-person role

This is an onsite position in Bend, OR, supporting close collaboration across sales, design, and production teams.
