The Designer/Drafter II is primarily responsible for completing fabrication details for Power Generation equipment including Filter Houses, Inlet and Silencer Ducting, Exhaust Ducting, Liner Systems, HRSGs, Stacks and Structural support steel or similar using computer aided drafting programs.

Review job package including customer specifications and design information to extract project-specific requirements

Coordinate with Design Engineer, Manufacturing and Quality personnel to identify and quantify special requirements for design, fabrication and NDE

Design details and develop detail fabrication drawings of parts and equipment using drawings, templates, and calculations
- Develop bill of materials to fully define material requirements for purchase

Check detail fabrication drawings produced by others
Knowledge, skills and abilities

Formal Training and proven proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting is essential (AutoCad/SolidWorks/Inventor or other similar 3D modeling software)

Minimum 1 year of experience designing or detailing Power Generation equipment including Filter Houses, Inlet and Silencer Ducting, Exhaust Ducting, Liner Systems, HRSGs, Stacks and Structural support steel.
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of AWS and AISC codes and specifications preferred

Software proficiency with RCS is a plus
