Designer I Civil/Structural

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is currently looking for a talented and self-motivated Civil/ Structural Designer I to join our Engineering office located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a great opportunity to get involved with exciting and challenging projects with long-lasting customers.

• HS Diploma or Associate’s degree in Drafting/Design/Engineering Technology or equivalent job-related experience (2 years job related experience equivalent to 1 year college).

• Must have 5 years’ experience in engineering drafting and design practices.

• Demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize various computerized design/drafting software applications according to project requirements.

• Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Structural packages essential; AVEVA (E3D or PDMS) software is preferred.

• Knowledge of Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, and the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).

• Demonstrate thorough technical knowledge and design practices of civil/structural drawings.

• Knowledge and understanding of engineering/design & construction. Experience with AWP (Advanced Work Packaging) a plus

• Able to work independently on design projects as well as interface with other disciplines.

• The ability to provide solutions/options to complex design related issues.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills are required.

• Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
