Designer / Permitting & Plans Coordinator

We are a growing and fast-paced landscape construction company serving the Las Vegas and Henderson areas. We manage projects from design through permitting and completion, and we are looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Designer/ Project Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary
We are seeking a who can take projects from concept through engineered plans and permitting approval. This role is responsible for preparing build-ready plans, coordinating, engineering requirements, and handling all permit submissions through city websites, and AMMTEC.

This position requires someone who understands local building codes, structural requirements, and permitting process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction drawings and permit-ready plans.
• Develop build plans in compliance with local building codes and city requirements.
• Submit plans through City of Las Vegas/ Henderson online permitting system.
• Oversee the permitting process by preparing permit applications, supporting documentation, and liaising with regulatory agencies to secure approvals efficiently.
• Process and manage submissions through AMMTEC.
• Track permit status and proactively follow up to ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain organization digital files and documentation for all active projects.
• Work closely with project managers and sales team.
• Track permit status and approval.

Qualifications

• Proven experience preparing construction drawings and permit-ready plan sets. structural plans.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software.
• Experience submitting permits online through city portals.
• Familiarity with AMMTEC permitting process
• Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Experience responding to plan check corrections and making revisions.
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple active projects.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
