Position Summary

As a Designer/Drafter at Anderson Specialty Industries (ASI), you will work within our Design and Innovation Group creating custom CAD solutions for acoustical products. You will translate client needs into detailed shop drawings and production specifications, balancing technical precision with innovative design approaches. Primary Responsibilities

· Develop detailed shop and production drawings for project-specific requirements using both 2D and 3D CAD tools

· Create technical details and schedules that integrate with shop drawings and business automation systems

· Collaborate on developing and maintaining standardized CAD libraries and databases

· Contribute to the improvement of CAD/CAM systems and production workflows

· Help translate client project requirements into viable manufacturing specifications

· Work cross-functionally with sales, project management, and production teams to ensure design integrity

· Collaborate on designing and developing product marketing assets including data sheets, installation instructions, and visual assets (i.e., renderings, animations, etc.).

· Collaborate on developing product design solutions for new product initiatives and custom customer projects.

Required Qualifications

· Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting, engineering, or related field

· Minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (i.e., Revit, Inventor, Rhino/Grasshopper, SolidWorks)

· Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in architectural drafting, manufacturing design, or related field

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and mechanical plans

· Ability to communicate design concepts through hand-sketches

· Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration

· Problem-solving mindset with analytical approach to design challenges

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

· Willingness to learn ASI's specialized processes, tools, and systems

Desired Qualifications

· Experience developing CAD automation tools and workflows

· Understanding of CNC programming and processing

· Knowledge of acoustic principles and materials (training provided)

· Experience with parametric design tools

· Background in manufacturing or production environments

Compensation and Benefits

· Hourly compensation range $31.25 to $43.27

Working Conditions

· Role offers flexible hybrid; in office and remote working conditions

· Monday through Friday between 8am – 4:30pm

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally

· Periodic weekend or evening work may be required

· Limited travel as needed for client projects

· Non-supervisory position

Pay: $31.25 - $43.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
