Role Overview:

There is an opportunity at BGC Group to join our growing Europower Desk based in Dubai .

This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing and entrepreneurial desk that has been successfully operating for the past year and continues to expand its presence across global energy markets. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced brokers, supporting the execution and administration of transactions across European Power, Gas and Environmental markets while gaining valuable exposure to the broking industry.

The desk specialises primarily in European Power markets, with additional activity in Gas products (including TTF, PSV and NBP) and Emissions markets . The role provides exposure to a diverse international client base across EMEA and the Middle East.

The successful candidate will support the brokers with trade booking and post-trade processes, including booking deals in Trayport and managing the associated clearing requirements. Full training will be provided on Trayport, internal systems and market conventions, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in energy broking.

The role is office-based in Dubai, working alongside the broking team and supporting UK and European market hours as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Europower broking team.
• Book trades accurately in Trayport and manage the associated post-trade clearing processes.
• Input and maintain trades within internal booking and trading systems.
• Assist brokers with trade capture, market updates and post-trade administration.
• Monitor European Power, Gas and Emissions markets and remain informed on market developments.

The individual will operate in full alignment with all relevant regulatory obligations, internal compliance frameworks, and desk‑level procedures. This includes maintaining a strong understanding of applicable rules, adhering to internal policies, and ensuring all activities are conducted in a controlled, transparent, and compliant manner.

Technical Skills:

• Good general computer skills and confidence working with multiple systems simultaneously.
