Desktop Publishing Typesetter

This position is for an experienced desktop publishing typesetter. This is not a design or creative position.

Program proficiency prerequisites (Mac and PC): Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator

Additional programs used: QuarkXPress, Corel Draw

Type of work includes compliance regulated packaging materials (extended text booklets, specimen labels, corrugated cartons, pre-printed flexible bags, and labels for the AgChem and Animal Health industries).

Direct experience with this specific work is preferred but not required.

Attention to detail, critical thinking and ability to switch between different rules/standards per client is required.

Layouts follow client branding standards and conform to the end print method requirements.

Our clients are worldwide manufacturers so while the majority of the work is in English there are projects in many different languages as well with country specific regulatory requirements.

Deliverables must be produced accurately and efficiently.

Initial proofing is responsibility of the operator followed by QC proofing department.
