Desktop Support Engineer

India

  • Designation: Desktop Support Engineer
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technical or a related field

v Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ü Should be capable to support for hardware, networking and software issues.

ü Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

ü Set up new workstations, install software applications, and configure user accounts.

ü Perform regular maintenance on hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.

ü Maintain records of issues, resolutions, and inventory of hardware and software assets.

ü Assist in training users on new software and technologies, providing guidance on best practices

ü Set up and configure network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

ü Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues; perform regular updates and patches.

ü Use tools to monitor network performance and security; analyze traffic and usage patterns.

ü Maintain accurate records of network configurations, diagrams, and hardware inventories.

ü Work with other IT staff to integrate hardware with software systems and applications.

ü Ensure hardware security measures are in place to protect against unauthorized access and threats

ü Strong understanding of office 365, LAN, VAN

ü Strong understanding about server installation & various antivirus knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows 11), hardware components, and common software applications.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with users and understand their needs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity issues, Wi-Fi problems).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and hardware.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues.
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications can be beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of Configure Laptop or Computer.
  • End to End technical support

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
