Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Alpharetta, GA. Candidates must have strong hands‑on Java expertise while building scalable technical solutions and troubleshooting complex application issues.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities Include

• Collaborate with system architects and development teams to design, develop, and deploy Java‑based applications and technical solutions within a service‑oriented architecture.
• Analyze complex business and technical requirements, creating detailed technical designs, documentation, and effort estimates for assigned features.
• Develop new application components, implement enhancements, and troubleshoot issues across Java, React, and database layers, ensuring adherence to coding and architectural standards.
• Build and maintain Snowflake data warehouse components, including databases, schemas, tables, views, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks, supporting large‑scale analytics workloads.
• Write efficient SQL, stored procedures, and integration tests while ensuring applications meet quality, performance, and integration requirements.
• Support production and QA environments by diagnosing issues, performing fixes, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8–10+ years in software development with strong backend Java/Spring experience; exposure to React and data/analytics platforms preferred.
• Proven hands-on expertise building Java-based services (Spring, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs), strong SQL skills, and solid understanding of data structures/algorithms and Agile/Scrum.
• Practical experience with Snowflake (e.g., Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, performance tuning) and ability to write optimized SQL and stored procedures (Snowflake Scripting/JavaScript or Python), plus familiarity with CI/CD and cloud data integrations.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
