The hourly rate for this role is: $36.11/hour

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the donor database and improves data health and data structure based on best practices and industry trends.
  • Coordinates day-to-day support for donor stewardship activities, including developing and executing initiatives for Capital Campaign Committee members, major donors, donor societies, Heartbeat, Continuum, and donors at all levels, alongside department leadership.
  • Improves usage of target analytics to better evaluate prospects and donors within the database, assesses profiling services within Raiser’s Edge, and implements them to understand donor’s capacity and affinity to give.
  • Serves as an advocate, administrator, and resource to enable the Capital Campaign Committee to fulfill its charge and accomplish its goals, in collaboration with the VP of External Relations.
  • Completes accurate gift entry and acknowledgment, queries and lists, and donor updates, and oversees regular gift reconciliation with the Finance Team.
  • Oversees ticket sales and acknowledgements of event-related donations, coordinates event registration, and provides support as needed at third-party fundraisers.
  • Assists with data needed for annual mailings and e-appeals and tracks and reports performance in collaboration with the Development and Communications Teams.
  • Provides outstanding and timely communication with donors regarding donation questions, giving records, and other routine requests through management of the “Giving” email and other mediums.
  • Oversees prospect research and ensures that information provided to development officers is concise, uniform, and organized and meets the agency’s fundraising strategies.
  • Monitors staff compliance with Raiser’s Edge entry and record-keeping and creates regularly updated policies and procedures for Raiser’s Edge data entry.
  • Leads special projects that advance the agency’s capacity for data health, reporting, and fundraising, as necessary.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, project management, or related field is required. Relevant professional experience in communications, fundraising, event planning, data management, or project management may substitute the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in fundraising, event planning, data management, project management or related field is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability and willingness to work some evening and weekend hours is required
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Windows are required
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with Raiser’s Edge, including system improvement, configuration, refinement, and cleaning is required
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with donors, Board Members, executive team members, and other staff across the agency
  • Strong analytical, technological, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be detail-oriented, provide meticulous follow-through, and be able to accomplish multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines despite inevitable distractions in a lively non-profit environment
  • Must be a systemic thinker who is organized, efficient, and self-motivated Strong commitment to advancing the health and well-being of members of the LGBTQ community

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Casual work environment.
  • Hybrid in office/ remote working days.
  • Occasional late or weekend meetings/events.
