Development Coordinator

Mary Cheatham King Real Estate is the #1 Real Estate Team in Carteret County and is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Development Coordinator that will be an integral part of the Development Team. This position requires strong organizational skills, someone who is an excellent communicator and has proficient computer skills.

The Development Coordinator (DC) will provide support to the Development Manager (DM) in executing the contract to close process for each development MCKRE is representing. The DC will support the DM with communications, listing and pricing documents, MLS entry and ensuring all the information is accurate and updated as needed across all platforms utilized by the development team. The DC will assist the DM in exceeding both developers and clients expectations throughout the entire process.

The DC will encompass the MCKRE Core Values and exhibit a genuine team player mentality and provide support to their colleagues, even when that support is outside of their job description. The DC is a partner to the Development Manager, owning together the client and developer experiences, constantly improving related systems and covering for each other on days off.

This position will be Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00

Role Objectives:

  • Prepare listing agreements and supporting documents for new units or generalized developments. This will also include listing documents for a resale of a development unit.
  • Enter development or unit information into MLS, to include drafting MLS descriptions and marketing remarks, uploading relevant documents and property information (with the exception of photos).
  • Monitor both the MLS and development websites regularly to ensure all documents and information for each listing/development is accurate and up to date.
  • Oversee contract to close process for each development property pended, making certain all relevant documents and disclosures are accurate, signed, and submitted in Command for compliance.
  • Ensure all development activities and documents are accurately entered and updated across all platforms used by the Development Team.

Daily/Monthly Responsibilities:

  • The Development Coordinator is responsible for improving consistent communications with each developer including a weekly update coordinated with marketing.
  • Prepare all listing documents, including disclosures whether for an individual unit or a generalized development listing.
  • Prepare all pricing determination and price modification documents and update in MLS accordingly; ensure the team is aware of any price adjustments and/or determinations.
  • Ensure all publicized development information is entered accurately, is updated weekly and consistent across all channels.
  • Create all Command opportunities and submit for compliance review.
  • Ensure all contract information is entered into SISU.
  • Plan bi-weekly site visits to have visibility of the construction progress and provide recommendations for updated photos and or descriptions when needed.
  • Prepare all materials needed for open houses or developments events with the exclusion of food, drinks, giveaways, etc. which is managed by the Event Planner.
  • Provide additional support or perform other duties as needed.
  • Attend in-person MCKRE development meeting every other Tuesday afternoon
  • Attend MCKRE team power-up via Zoom each Monday morning
  • Attend MCKRE team meeting on Thursday morning at Mary Cheatham's house
  • Attend MCKRE community events
