POSITION PURPOSE:
The Project Engineer-EPC & Development will assist the Construction Manager and Senior Development Staff with day-to-day tasks in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), which may include but is not limited to: tracking and monitoring progress; managing submittals, RFIs, schedules, contractors, vendors, permit coordination, construction & contract documentation, etc.

Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan required to complete the project.

Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.

Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors and contractors.

Supervises progress of development project and prepares weekly and monthly status reports for senior staff and off-takers.
- Compares and tracks the actual cost of development project to budget.
- Assist in management and oversight of consultants and contractors.

Assist in management of QA/QC process, commissioning, inspections, signoffs, punchlists, and closeout documents.
- Assist in management of energy regulatory approvals (CUP, CAISO, FERC, NERC, CEC, EIA, etc.)

Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in related engineering discipline or construction management required.

Prior experience in utility scale solar with an EPC or IPP.

3-5 years prior experience in utility scale solar EPC.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Demonstrated proficiency in using Sharepoint or other document control software.

Demonstrated proficiency in using Project Management software including but not limited to BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, etc.

Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing PVSYST reports.

Understanding of utility scale solar construction practices (racking systems, inverters, substations, gen-tie, electrical design concepts, etc.)

Actual base salary considers several factors, including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required.
