Pay: Starting at $18.00+ per hour
Schedule: The ideal candidate has at least 10 hours of availability a week during our core service window of 8 AM – 4 PM
Position Overview: Simmons Early Intervention Therapy (SEIT) is seeking a Developmental Play Therapist to join our pediatric therapy team. This position is ideal for individuals who are seeking to be self-employed, as this is a 1099 position where you are in control of your schedule. This role is especially well-suited for teachers, education professionals, childcare providers, and human service professionals who find it rewarding to work with and make a difference in young children's lives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide play-based therapeutic sessions to support language & communication, gross & fine motor skills, social-emotional, and behavioral development.
- Create engaging, individualized activities tailored to each child’s needs.
- Maintain a fun, energetic, and supportive atmosphere during sessions.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and caregivers, offering guidance and strategies to support continued progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with young children (special needs experience preferred).
- Positive, dependable, and energetic personality.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish or Creole) are strongly encouraged to apply.
