DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab and CI/CD pipelines to support our ongoing DevOps initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating applications from one CI/CD toolset to another and optimizing pipelines for scalability, reliability, and speed. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates in any time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Lead the migration of applications and pipelines from legacy CI/CD platforms to GitLab.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Optimize pipeline performance, improve reliability, and ensure best practices for DevOps workflows.
• Ensure security, compliance, and monitoring are integrated into the CI/CD process.
• Document processes, pipelines, and migration steps to support knowledge sharing and smooth handoffs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD (or comparable tools, with migration experience).
• Proven track record of migrating applications/pipelines between CI/CD systems.
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.).
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

GitLab is web-based DevOps platform that sits on top of Git. Someone who only has Git is not going to be senior enough.
