DevOps Engineer

Responsibilites:

• Baseline Assessment & Framework Review (Month 1): Assess existing GitHub CDF repository structure, automation workflows, tool integrations, and documentation. Deliver a detailed assessment report with actionable recommendations.
• Pipeline & Integration Improvements (Month 2): Implement CI/CD optimizations, workflow modularization, and scalability enhancements. Integrate Veracode security scanning into pipelines. Ensure updated framework code passes automated tests and gains client approval.
• Process Automation (Months 3–11): Automate repetitive tasks and internal business processes to eliminate manual bottlenecks. Provide regular reports on automation impact and Backstage development outcomes.
• Documentation Enhancement (Months 2–12): Maintain and expand framework documentation, including configuration guides, usage examples, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Team Onboarding & Knowledge Transfer (Months 2–12): Conduct onboarding workshops for new teams adopting CDF. Deliver reusable onboarding materials (slides, guides, templates).
• Final Delivery &Transition (End of Engagement): Ensure all deliverables, documentation, and source artifacts are handed over to client teams. Facilitate final review and sign-off.

Requirements:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or IT or equivalent
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow automation.
• Proficiency in DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Familiarity with security integration tools like Veracode.
• Expertise in process automation and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for knowledge transfer.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet milestone deadlines.
• Minimum Industry experience of 4 years and Maximus 8 years.
• Experience with Backstage for developer portals.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Prior experience in framework optimization projects.
