About the Role

We are seeking DevOps Engineers to be at the forefront of our Solutions Engineering & Cloud DevOps practice, driving the deployment and operations of DataOS, Modern’s flagship product.

As a key member of the Solutions Engineering team, you will partner with Engineering, Product, and our customers to ensure seamless deployments, high reliability, and scalability. You will play a critical role in troubleshooting, optimizing DataOS upgrades, and fostering trusted customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Work directly with customers to implement solutions and manage product deployments.

• 
  Define and lead cloud strategies while building strong relationships with key technical stakeholders.

• 
  Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to understand product architecture and deployment methodologies.

• 
  Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and application deployments.

• 
  Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for cloud-based applications.

• 
  Design and implement robust monitoring and observability systems to track performance, detect anomalies, and proactively resolve issues.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of strong DevOps and Infrastructure as Code experience.
  
• Excellent communication skills and ability to drive solutions/products deployment and related activities on customer’s environment
  
• Multiple cloud platform experience; AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google.
  
• Candidate must have very strong experience in Terraform, used modules, locals, worked in various versions of Terraform and knows the latest and greatest features available.
  
• Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes is essential, including proficiency in using kubectl for deployment management, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  
• Good knowledge of Containerization technologies (Docker with CLI, Kubernetes including setting up of resources such as Services, Pods, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress etc.).
  
• Have understanding of modern application development practices and tools such CI/CD and related technology.
  
• Experience in at least one of Puppet, Ansible, or other automation platforms is a preferred
  
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python or Golang is a plus
