DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

The Intermediate DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting, developing, and optimising the

software development life-cycle by automating, streamlining, and improving the reliability and

performance of production systems. You will collaborate closely with software developers, system

operators, and other IT staff to manage code releases, monitor system performance, and ensure

smooth infrastructure deployment.


Key Responsibilities

1) Containerisation & Orchestration:

* Implement and manage containerised environments using Docker.

* Orchestrate and manage containers using Kubernetes, OCP or similar tools.

* Ensure proper scaling, load balancing, and fail-over mechanisms.

* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure up-time and reliability.


2) Automation & Scripting:

* Develop and maintain automation scripts in languages such as Python, Bash, or Power-Shell.

* Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

* Implement automated configuration management using tools like Ansible.


Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a DevOps role or relevant role.


Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Nice-to-Have

  • Understanding of network protocols and security principles
  • CKA / CKS Certified
