Job Overview

Beechwood IT Solutions Inc (BITS) is a United States-based IT Consulting and Application Service provider with a mission to provide quality services, aiming for the highest success rate in IT projects. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining our operational processes. This is a full-time position located in Arkansas City, Arkansas, United States, with a competitive salary of $50 - $60 USD per hour.



Responsibilities

 

  • Design, build, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines for a wide range of applications.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Manage and monitor our cloud-based infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to ensure new features and services are designed for seamless deployment and operation.
  • Implement and manage containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and systems.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of containerisation with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
